Television, Film and Radio

The BBC, The Today Show, Discovery Channel, National Public Radio, PBS, National Geographic, and NHK television have all featured scientists and research projects of Whale Trust in national and international television and radio documentaries. The Whale Trust team has collaborated with the Jason Project, National Geographic Society and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to bring their research to hundreds of classrooms nationwide.

Award Winning Documentary Featuring Whale Trust Premieres in the U.S. on Animal Planet and on National Geographic International Channel Worldwide

The Humpback Code Continues to Win Film Festival Awards across the Globe

For the last several years, Whale Trust partnered with filmmaker, Daniel Opitz, to film the television documentary, The Humpback Code. The original film has won several awards including Gold in the Nature Wildlife Category at the World Media Festival, the Audience Award at the Maui Film Festival, Best Ocean Film at the International Wildlife Film Festival in Germany, and Honorable Mention at the International Wildlife Festival. Most recently, it won the Best Wildlife Film award at the 4th Wildlife Film Festival. Congratulations to Daniel for all his success with the film!
